“To take photographs means to recognize -- simultaneously and within a fraction of a second - both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning. It is putting one's head, one's eye and one's heart on the same axis” - Henri Cartier-Bresson [1908 – 2004] French photojournalist
Welcome to my online gallery of mainly "black and white fine art photography of Cape Town" and the Western Cape as well as the Karoo: two of the most photogenic places on earth.
All of these exquisitely crafted images have been meticulously woven together from a series of high-resolution photographs. These panoramas, be they in horizontal or vertical format, are interpreted with my vision and experience of what I felt on that particular day and definitely having the patience to wait for that magic moment. Many, many hours spent in some of the most beautiful countrysides our world has to offer.
This is an invitation to sit back and enjoy the beautiful Cape and the wonderful Karoo through my lens.
