By changing the orientation of my panoramic images, a whole new perspective is revealed. The drama is highlighted more than by showing the full photograph. The vertical format almost acts like a sight on a rifle – the peripheral view becomes insignificant and the viewer is absorbed into the photograph. My intention is to enhance the drama further not only by presenting the image in black and white but also by using skills that shift the orientation and this, I feel, has been achieved.

Black and white photography is a platform that emphasizes the drama of a scene. It is like an artist's palette; by dodging and burning with the relevant software one is literally painting with light. Contemporarily embracing this new technology is not only a necessity but to me, it has become a gratifying alternative to spending hours in the darkroom.
